What is 60A ESC?
Skywalker 60A ESC enables you to drive your brushless motors conveniently and safely. This brushless motor driver can provide up to 60A continuously and 80A for 10 secs. It also has a switching mode BEC (voltage regulator) circuit to power your flight controller and/or RC remote.
What does the amp rating on an ESC mean?
Most ESCs will have ratings such as ’30 amps’ or ’25 amps’. These numbers generally represent the sustained current the ESC can handle. For short periods of time, generally less than 10 seconds, ESCs can handle slightly more current. It is common to see an ESC labeled a ’30 amps’ ESC that is capable of a 40 amp ‘burst.
Can a 60a ESC handle 4s?
You can run a motor meant for 4s on 3s no problem. Don’t plug a speed control rated for 3s into a 4s pack. Is it strange a 130 amp esc isn’t rated to 4s?
Can you run 2 brushless motors off ESC?
No. The ESC senses the position of the motor through the voltage that comes back from it and times the voltage that drives the motor accordingly. If you connect a second motor to the same ESC it just gets confused.
Is a higher C rating better?
The short answer is that when it comes to flight times and motor performance, the higher a battery’s C rating, the more likely it will make you smile. A battery that has a higher C rating delivers more energy, and that means higher performance.
Does higher KV mean faster motor?
Kv describes the RPM (revolutions per minute) a motor does per Volt that is put into it. Generally speaking the more Kv a motor has, the more RPM and more power. So turns with a lower number means a faster motor. The turn rating is inversely proportional to the power generated by the motor.
How do I know what ESC to use?
The first thing to look at when choosing ESC is the current rating, which is measured in Amps. Motors draw current when they spin, if you draw more Amps than your ESC can handle, it will start to overheat and eventually fail. A catastrophic failure can even end up with your ESC in flames!
How many amps is 2200mah?
For example 1C for 2200 mah pack 2200/1000 = 2.2 amps. Lipo’s should be charged at 1C unless the lipo has on its sticker that it can be charged at a higher rate. To find out what 1C for pack is, take the mah of the pack and divide it by 1000. For example 1C for 2200 mah pack 2200/1000 = 2.2 amps.
How do you program an ESC?
Exit Program Mode Move the throttle stick to Full Throttle, then connect the battery pack to the ESC. The motor will give 2 beeps after 2 seconds. 3. Wait another 5 seconds and the ESC will give a rising tone to indicate you have entered Programming Mode.
